Military Law Office

Rees, Kincaid & Stanfield handles all types of military-related issues including, but not limited to, courts-martial, administrative separation boards, GOMOR Rebuttals, 15-6 Investigations…and much more.  Please note that our office does not handle divorce or family law matters unless it is related to a military case and the matter is before the states of Kansas or Missouri.  We also handle civilian criminal defense in Kansas and Missouri including drug possession, DUI, larceny… and much more.

Fees

Although headquartered in the KC metro area, our military lawyers routinely travel to your location as needed.  We accept most cases on either an hourly basis or a “fixed fee” that is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.  Fees will vary due to case complexity, seriousness and number of the charges, number of fact and expert witnesses, types of cross-examinations needed, and whether we will handle press inquiries.  Contact our office for a free case evaluation.

Services for Veterans

We understand that your service to the country does not stop once you receive a DD 214.  For that reason, we are proud to serve veterans of all ranks and services should they need to seek a Discharge Upgrade or to request a Correction to their Military Records.  Although it may be cheap and easy to fill out an online application yourself, don’t be surprised if your request is denied and the letter advises you to obtain counsel to assist on future requests.  Timelines do apply to such matters so be sure to contact a military lawyer as soon as possible to discuss your case.

Active Case Management

Our office strongly believes that “wait and see” is not the best legal strategy in most cases.  While your free JAG lawyer may not have time to get involved or even return your calls, our office can proactively contact your chain of command and start working your case from the moment you retain us.  Evidence and memory tend to degrade over time, so the time to work your defense is NOW.
